Atlantic Brass Quintet
June 8 - 12, 2008

SEMINAR COMPONENTS
The Atlantic Brass Quintet International Brass Quintet Seminar is a one-week program of study for brass students and professionals designed to educate, inform, and develop brass player’s advanced musicality, performance technique, and collaborative skills. The program is open to individual brass students, as well as pre-formed brass quintets. Individual participants will be formed into quintets based on their experience and ability.

All aspects of the program occur between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Sunday to Thursday, with an evening faculty recital. Coachings and Performances Participant quintets receive two daily coachings, guided by a member of the ABQ or guest artist, in preparation for the participant concert. After each week’s concert, quintets will receive written commentary from their faculty, as well as an opportunity to view a video recording of their performance. Faculty Concerts and Master classes The ABQ will collaborate in open rehearsals, presenting a recital for participants of the seminar. Possible master class formats include discussion groups, orchestral excerpt classes, and solo performance classes.

Enrollment Guidelines
Participants, ages 15 and older, can apply by submitting a downloaded application, $25 application fee, and a 10-minute recording that demonstrates the ability to play various musical styles, by February 15, 2008
